Core Platform Engineering
Dev Station built IoT Core Engine on top of ThingsBoard Community Edition (Apache 2.0), extending the open-source core with the professional-grade capabilities normally reserved for paid enterprise tiers — without the licensing lock-in.
White-Label Customization Layer
A full branding system was layered on top of the platform: custom logos, favicons, and login pages, a theme engine covering primary, accent, sidebar, and background colors, CSS overrides for pixel-level control, and custom domain mapping with branded email templates. The result — a platform that looks and feels entirely IoT Workz’s own.
Enterprise Access & Identity
Dev Station implemented advanced RBAC and organization hierarchy, SSO/OAuth2 via Keycloak, and Vault-based secrets management — giving IoT Workz enterprise-grade access control out of the box.
Real-Time Device & Data Operations
The team built out telemetry ingestion over MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP, a visual drag-and-drop rule engine for real-time automation and alerting, and OTA firmware updates with per-device progress and version tracking across the entire fleet.
Flexible, DevOps-Ready Deployment
The platform ships Docker and Kubernetes-ready, deployable on-premise, on private cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), or in a hybrid model with edge processing on-site and cloud analytics — giving IoT Workz full control over data residency and compliance.
