About Dev Station Technology
Dev Station Technology is a software engineering company in Ho Chi Minh City, working since 2023 with equipment makers and inspection providers in the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. Our practice is digital quality inspection, industrial IoT and embedded software, which in practice means the software that carries a measurement from a device in the field through to a record somebody has to sign.
The company did not start there. It started as a general software house, and the work that kept arriving had a shape of its own: instruments that measured correctly, attached to software nobody could safely change. Paper checklists typed into spreadsheets at the end of a shift. Hardware that shipped on schedule while its mobile app did not. By 2026 that gap had become the main line of work rather than a set of unusual projects.
We work as a dedicated engineering team rather than a licence. Engagements start small, often with one workflow or one device integration, and grow when the roadmap calls for it. The code and the cloud accounts stay in the client name throughout.
What we are building toward between now and 2028:
- Depth in regulated inspection. LOLER thorough examination in the UK and the equivalent regimes in the US, so that compliance is designed into the record rather than checked afterwards.
- Device coverage. More BLE and gateway integrations with test equipment makers, building on the gauge and torque work already shipped.
- Data ownership by default. Self-hosted deployments for clients whose measurement data cannot sit in a cloud account somebody else controls.
- A published record. Every claim on this site traceable to a case study with a named client and a number we can stand behind.

Our history
Three years, in the order they happened
The company opens
Dev Station Technology Development Co., Ltd is founded in Ho Chi Minh City, building IoT, embedded and cloud software for clients abroad.
First work in the UK, the US and Australia
Engagements start with companies in three markets at once, mostly on IoT and cloud projects. The pattern that would define the company shows up here: the client owns an instrument, and the software around it is the weak part.
Closer to the hardware
Embedded and AI capability expands. Mobile apps start reading test equipment directly over BLE, including the rebuild of the Hydrajaws pull tester platform and the KTC SDK integration that brought digital torque testing into it.
Inspection becomes the practice
Digital inspection platforms become the main line of work, from the check in the field through to the certificate at the end. A UK anchor testing provider goes paperless with us, cutting the reporting cycle by 70 percent.

Six words, and what each one costs us
A value that has never cost a deal is a preference. These six have.
Ownership. An engineer here answers for whether the feature works in production, not for whether the ticket closed.
Continuity. The same people stay on a system across releases, so nobody explains the same integration twice.
Transparency. When a date is going to slip you hear it the week we know, not the week it slips.
Honesty. If an off-the-shelf product would cover your process, we say so on the first call and lose the build.
Maintainability. Code a new engineer can read a year later beats code that saves a week now, even when the week is the one you are short of.
Domain depth. We read the regulation before we design the record. LOLER schedules and audit requirements are part of the brief, not a detail for later.

Legacy recovery
Hydrajaws Limited, UK
Portable pull testers for anchor and fixing safety. We took over an app left without documentation, rebuilt the environments, then shipped a free version alongside the paid one. Digital torque testing came next, through the KTC SDK.

Working hours
Overlap with your day
Our hours overlap the UK morning and the Australian afternoon. For US clients the overlap runs early in our day and late in yours, and we book the standing calls inside it.
