iOS app development services for drivers, engineers and field crews

Native iOS apps that write to the phone first and sync later. Our driver app held 71 queued records through a 2.5-hour outage and lost none.

What we build

What we build for iOS

Offline-first field apps

Every record is written to the phone first, then sent from a queue.

Proof of delivery

Receiver name, PO number, photo and signature before a drop can close.

Limited background location

GPS only between 06:00 and 18:00, and only once a trip is underway.

XCTest coverage

XCTest for the app, Playwright for the console beside it.

When native iOS is the right call

Pick native iOS when

  • Users work in basements, sites or loading bays with poor signal
  • The app captures photos, signatures or location
  • Your fleet or crew all use iPhones

Look elsewhere when

  • You need Android on day one, where we compare React Native and .NET MAUI
  • The app is mostly a web view of a site you already have
  • You have no iOS users yet and want to test the idea first

Related: Python, React, React Native, Xamarin and .NET MAUI, and the logistics sector.

FAQs

What buyers ask first

How does the app behave with no signal?

Every record is written to the phone first and sent from a queue the driver can see. In a 2.5-hour sync outage on TruckFleet, 71 queued records were delivered automatically with no data loss.

Native iOS or cross-platform?

Our driver app is native iOS with SQLite on the device. If you need Android as well, we compare React Native and .NET MAUI with you before choosing.

What does the App Store require of new builds?

Starting April 2026, Apple requires apps uploaded to App Store Connect to be built with Xcode 26 or later using the iOS 26 SDK.

Can you limit background location?

Yes. On TruckFleet the app tracks GPS only between 06:00 and 18:00, and only once a trip is underway.
