When React Native is the right call

Pick React Native when

  • Your web team already writes React
  • You need the same features on iOS and Android
  • The app is mostly screens, forms and lists

Look elsewhere when

  • The app hangs on Bluetooth LE or vendor SDKs, where we used .NET MAUI
  • It must work offline with background location, where we built native iOS
  • You need a published Flutter build to inspect

FAQs

What buyers ask first

What is the React Native New Architecture?

The rebuilt core of React Native. It became the default in version 0.76, and 0.82 is the first release that runs entirely on it. An app on the Legacy Architecture must move before it upgrades to 0.82.

React Native, Flutter or .NET MAUI?

We have shipped React Native once, .NET MAUI once and Xamarin three times. Choose React Native when your web team writes React. Choose .NET MAUI when the app sits on a .NET back end and talks to Bluetooth devices.

Do you build native iOS instead?

Yes. Our TruckFleet driver app is native iOS, written to work with no signal. See the iOS page.

Who owns the code and the cloud accounts?

You do, from the first commit. Repositories and cloud accounts stay in your name.
