Lifts and elevators

Lift software where the date is the product

Thorough examination scheduling, defect lists that survive between visits, and an engineer app that still works in a shaft. Miss a date and the lift comes out of service.

What this is

A calendar with legal consequences

Most lift software is a maintenance system with dates bolted on. The dates are the point. Everything else exists to make sure the right unit is examined by the right person before the interval runs out.

The shaft has no signal

An engineer app that needs a connection at the moment of the examination will lose the record exactly where it matters.

Defects travel between visits

What was noted last time has to be in front of whoever goes next, or the same fault gets found twice and fixed never.

Services

What we build for lift businesses

Thorough examination scheduling

Per unit, per site, with the interval and the written scheme driving the date.

Defect registers

Carried forward from one visit to the next, with the status visible to the owner as well as the engineer.

Engineer apps for the shaft

Written to the device first, synced afterwards, so a lost signal costs nothing.

Reports of thorough examination

Generated from what was captured, with the outcome and the defect category recorded as separate fields.

Fire safety check routines

Monthly checks on firefighters and evacuation lifts, with the escalation clock built in.

Portfolio and client portals

Owners seeing their own units, dates and open defects without ringing the office.

Standards

The rules that set your intervals

These decide the data model long before anyone argues about screens.

LOLER 1998 regulation 9Six months between thorough examinations for equipment that lifts people, twelve months for other lifting equipment, unless a written scheme of examination says otherwise.
Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022In force since 23 January 2023. Monthly routine checks of firefighters lifts and evacuation lifts in high-rise residential buildings, meaning 18 metres or seven storeys and above.
The 24-hour escalationWhere a fault found on those checks is not fixed within 24 hours, it has to be reported electronically to the fire and rescue authority, and the repair reported once done.
Examination outcomesA thorough examination report records an outcome and a defect category. Model both properly or the document will not stand up.

FAQs

What buyers ask first

Can you work with our existing maintenance system?

Usually yes. Most engagements start by making the examination calendar correct and feeding it into whatever you already run.

What happens in a shaft with no signal?

The record is written to the device and queued. The engineer can see the queue draining, so nothing depends on coverage at the moment of the examination.

Can the system handle written schemes with custom intervals?

Yes, and it has to. A scheme drawn up by a competent person replaces the default interval, so the system has to honour it.

Who owns the code and the cloud accounts?

You do, from the first commit. Repositories and cloud accounts stay in your name.
